    Dear Staff,

How long do I have to wait to get my refund? The manager of LA fitness at Westwood said he would refund me $52 by the end of this Saturday(May 27th). He promised to give me refund three weeks ago but he didn’t do anything. My boyfriend is a member of your club and I added on to his plan in March, 2017. The manager charged me $99 for initiation fee but on LA fitness website, it said family member only need to pay $29 for initiation fee. Can you explain to me what is going on in here?

    My tag number is F26506066.

Thank you and I’m looking forward to reply.

    Yours,
    Spencer Cheng

    HI,
My car was broken into by some neighborhood thieves. My door handle on the drivers side was broken off and had to lose my car for three or four days while it was being repaired. My point is if I’m paying the gym money then I should get some security for my vehicle that I leave in the parking lot. The security guard should be walking around or in a golf cart watching the cars. She was inside the building looking out at the cars just whenever she wasn’t playing with her phone. She was most ineffective. I’m upset that I have to lose my car for 3-4 days. I’m paying the gym a monthly fee and so for that monthly fee I should get some kind of security guard to watch the cars.
    Sincerely,
    Peter Burnham

I used to love LA fitness, unfortunately the 2 clubs I am going to are becoming SO DIRTY that i may have to resign very soon.
There is absolutely no cleaning maintenance on Wickham road , melbourne Fl and Melbourne mall square, Florida.
I have not seen a vacuum cleaner in 1 year . No one sanitizes the map and the equipment.
Lockers have never been sanitized and water fountains are dirty…… Those clubs need a REAL TEAM OF CLEANERS.
It is going down the hill and public hygiene is becoming a serious issue.
AS everyone is very friendly , it is hard to complain and be negative

I renewed my yearly membership for $179 2-3 months early in early November 2019 for my LA Fitness account which has the anniversary date on February 3rd.

I signed up for a 3-years renewal deal (36 months) for $485 (buy 2 years and 1 year free Thanksgiving/Year End deal) and I would get a credit of $30 as my new renewal date will be changed to December 18th not February 3. The LA Fitness associate called Anthony in Cerritos LA Fitness who claimed that he is the General Manager for this location said that he would take care of me and he was very friendly. He took my credit card information and charge me $455 and claimed that he will cancel the recent $179 renewal and credit me $179 back to my credit card.

He made me sign and initial the LA Fitness contract and said that it will be processed later. I checked my credit card and saw two pending transactions:
    1. one from LAF BELLFLOWER for $200, and
    2. one from LA Fitness-CERRITOS.

I googled both names and it reported that the LAF BELLFLOWER is a scam charge. I didn’t see my $179 back into my CC.
I immediately called CITI to report this fraud, but the customer service assured me that the CC company would be verifying the transaction and if there is a fraud, I would not be liable for the transaction amount and she asked me to contact the merchant directly to check the transactions.

I went to another LA Fitness location in Norwalk for a workout and checked the status of my two FOBs and to my horror, I found that my old FOB is still active and my new FOB has a balance of $200 in the account. I went back to the Cerritos LA Fitness to see Anthony to check what is going on and he told me that the LAF Bellflower is their LA Fitness Headquarter or Corporate office and the two transactions are legitimate and assured me that he will take care of the refund of my $179 and clear the balance in the new FOB account.

I kept checking my account status from the LA Fitness Mobile App for many days and it still shows that I have a balance owe to LA Fitness. In the meantime, I can still use my old FOB to get in and out of LA Fitness locations. I kept coming back to Anthony to ask him to straighten the situation out for my two LA Fitness accounts.

I finally received emails from lafitnessmemberships@lafitness.com that my account has been canceled but when I looked closer, it has canceled my new FOB account. I went back to my LA Fitness Mobile App to check my account status and it says that my new FOB account is no longer active. In the meantime, I used my old FOB to register on the mobile app and the old FOB is still active and my account expiration date will still be 2/3/2021.

It has been 5 days since I received my cancelation email and the $455 is still not reflected in my cc account.

I am very upset of the entire process.

This should have been a very easy two transactions one cancelation, one new renewal and could be handled immediately, but instead it has been dragged on for 3 weeks now and my situation is still not rectified.

My intention is to take advantage of the multi-year deal and cancel my recent renewal of $179. It now cancels my multi-year deal and has not returned me the amount of $455. So, in effect, I am currently paying $455 for nada.

Can someone in the headquarter look into the situation to straighten this out for me? I have been very patient with Anthony when I talked to him. I understand that the process might not be streamlined in LA FItness internally. I have been a good customer, very patient and understanding, but this whole thing is kind of phishy, suspicious and scammish to me if this is the way LA Fitness handles this type of transactions.

I hope that LA Fitness corporate can step in to rectify the situation for me and streamline and improve their process for future customers.

    Thank you for reading.
